Blueberry Banana Smoothie

Enjoy this simple, nutrient dense blueberry smoothie as a breakfast or as a post workout smoothie rich in plant protein and healthy fats!

Yields 2 servings | Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries

  • 1 large or 2 medium frozen bananas

  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened non-dairy milk

  • 2 tbsp almond butter

  • 2 tbsp raw pumpkin seeds

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon - preferably Ceylon cinnamon as it’s healthier than regular (Cassia) cinnamon

  • Optional: 1 medjool date or 1/2 tsp raw honey for additional sweetness

  • Optional: 1 tsp superfood powders such as ashwagandha, lion’s mane, reishi powder, etc - My favorite brands for such powders include Sunpotion and Terrasoul

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth.

  2. Garnish with additional pumpkin seeds and serve immediately!
