Blueberry Banana Smoothie
Enjoy this simple, nutrient dense blueberry smoothie as a breakfast or as a post workout smoothie rich in plant protein and healthy fats!
Yields 2 servings | Total Time 5 minutes
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
1 large or 2 medium frozen bananas
1 1/2 cups unsweetened non-dairy milk
2 tbsp almond butter
2 tbsp raw pumpkin seeds
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp cinnamon - preferably Ceylon cinnamon as itβs healthier than regular (Cassia) cinnamon
Optional: 1 medjool date or 1/2 tsp raw honey for additional sweetness
Optional: 1 tsp superfood powders such as ashwagandha, lionβs mane, reishi powder, etc - My favorite brands for such powders include Sunpotion and Terrasoul
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth.
Garnish with additional pumpkin seeds and serve immediately!
