Omega-3 Breakfast Bowl

With the addition of specific nuts and seeds, this chia seed breakfast bowl is ultra rich in Omega-3s, a vital nutrient for good health! This dish is also fibre packed, antioxidant rich, and serves great as a afternoon-snack or even dessert!

Yields 4 servings | Total Time 15 minutes + Soak Time

Ingredients (Chia Seed Pudding)

  • 1/2 cup chia seeds - Omega-3 rich

  • 1 small can full-fat coconut milk + 2 cups filtered or spring water

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • Optional: 1 tbsp maple syrup or raw honey

Ingredients (Garnishes)

  • 1 cup organic fresh berries of your choice

  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts - Omega-3 rich

  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds - Omega-3 rich

  • 1/4 cup nut butter of your choice

  • Optional Garnishes: cacao nibs, shredded coconut, bee pollen, etc.

Preparation

  1. To a large bowl or container, add all of the chia seed cereal ingredients and stir well. After 30 minutes, stir well again to prevent the chia seeds from clumping. Soak overnight for best results, but feel free to use after 60 minutes of soaking.

  2. Add desired amount to bowls and top with garnishes!

  3. Store any extras in the fridge for up to 4 days.
